At the state level, I created content and managed the social media calendar to ensure a consistent and impactful presence. I also developed and implemented the state’s first comprehensive Social Media Plan, covering protocols, content scheduling, and disaster planning. This plan established a strong foundation for the state’s social media program, delivering long-lasting benefits and positioning it for future growth.
I crafted a clear social strategy communicating our brand’s values through emotional storytelling and meaningful engagement. By staying ahead of emerging trends and leveraging innovative tools, I ensured our content remained relevant and resonated with our target markets. As Director of Social Media, I led a team and traveled statewide to conduct social media training, strengthening efforts across all levels.
Later, as Marketing Director at the National Guard Bureau, I supervised the Army National Guard's Multimedia Department, managing all social media platforms. I reviewed and approved content, guided its development, and provided strategic direction for platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. By focusing on storytelling, strategic messaging, and audience insights, I strengthened the ARNG’s online presence and reinforced its mission and values.
Today, as a Military Marketing Consultant with CMD Strategic Marketing LLC, I conduct Social Media Training for clients such as State Army National Guard Battalions, VirtForce, GuideOn Legal Services, and the Modern Military Association of America. My work helps organizations enhance social media strategies, maximize engagement, and build lasting connections with their audiences.
